‘Required’ or ‘Mandatory’ fields within your activity reports are a great way to control data quality and standardization across your organization. When you add a custom field in D4H we allow you to decide if it is required or optional.
Previously, when adding a new activity, we blocked you moving to the next screen without it. We’ve been asked for a long time to allow users to move tab within the activity report editor without required fields completed. Sometimes you just need to start an activity report but don’t have all the information yet.
Now you’re able to compose a draft report, move between the tabs, and save it without filling in all the required fields. When you go to approve the report, it will flag any validation errors to you such as required fields, unconfirmed attendees, and more. You cannot Approve (or mark ‘Ready for Approval’) any activity reports without required fields completed.
To test it, try creating a new Incident, Exercise, or Event with a required custom field and move to the next tab or press ‘Finished’. Once done, press Approve Report (Editors & Owners Only).
Mandatory Tracking Number
Our organization controlled parent/child accounts for regional deployments feature a renamable ‘Tracking Number’ which matches up reports from multiple teams to the same activity within the organization’s dispatch system. This field can now be set as required/mandatory depending on activity type and includes the ability to set a character limit for it.
Costing Duration now accepts Decimal Minutes
We include full cost recovery on activities but previously our smallest denomination of time was 1 minute. We’ve updated our databases to now store decimal minutes for more accurate tracking of time within the cost recovery module durations.
Inspections Custom Report
We’ve added a custom self-service report for inspection results filterable by completed, incomplete, operational, to monitor, repair required, lost, and unserviceable. Run this report to see your inspection history at a glance by custom date range.
